This 2-day course will help students to become familiar with the OSHA compliance standards for various types of scaffolding including supported, suspended, and aerial lifts. You will also learn how scaffolds work and how to do basic load analysis, as well as hands-on field exercises, the OSHA standards for scaffolding, and resource material. Topics include: Platforms, Bracing, Guardrails, Falling Objects, Tie-Ins and Scaffold Bracing, and Mobile Scaffolds.

Implementing Cal/OSHA IIPP in General Industry

This 1-day course was developed to educate team leaders, supervisors, and managers in the real-life application of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) in the general industry. It is designed to assist in achieving an effective IIPP by addressing the eight core elements: Responsibility, Compliance, Communication, Hazard Recognition, Hazard Correction, Accident Investigation, Training and Recordkeeping. OSHA 2264 Permit Required Confined Space Entry

This 3-day course covers how to recognize, evaluate, prevent and abate safety and health hazards associated with confined space entry. Technical topics include the recognition of  confined space hazards, basic information about instrumentation used to evaluate atmospheric hazards, and ventilation techniques. This course features practice with permit entry classification and program evaluation. Students will have practical hands-on experience during this course and should bring: a Hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, boots, work type clothes, hearing protection, and a personal water bottle.

This 4-day course familiarizes the student with various types of common machinery and their related safety standards, and the control of hazardous energy sources (lockout/tagout). The course presents an approach to machinery inspection that enables participants to recognize hazards and to provide options to achieve abatement, including those for mechanical motions and actions created by points of operation and other machinery processes. Includes practice on identifying and mitigating machinery hazards.

This 1-day forklift training course is specific to the counterbalance forklift (ITA* Classes 1, 4, and 5) and will teach participants how to safely and properly operate a forklift. Based on the IVES theory training, this course is designed to provide participants with forklift knowledge and skills through classroom instruction and hands-on exercises. A Certificate of Completion will be provided to all participants who successfully demonstrate the minimum classroom knowledge, skill, and operation needed to operate a forklift.

 

Note: In order to be in compliance with Cal/OSHA 3668(b)(3), a student successfully completing any forklift operator training must follow through with additional requirements including being evaluated at their workplace on a site-specific and equipment-specific forklift before receiving Cal/OSHA approved forklift operator certification.

This recertification program addresses a wide scope of issues that trainers encounter during their specific training programs.
