Event Type: Single Event

This 4-hour course covers confined space identification, permit required confined spaces, the hazards associated with these spaces and the regulations covering confined spaces. The program also examines equipment requirements and personnel requirements for developing compliant and safe confined space entry operations as well as gas monitors and system ventilation. This is a basic awareness level course. Participants will not be qualified to enter permit required confined spaces, perform rescues or act as an attendant.

This 4-hour course covers the National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Curriculum. It is not a course on how to drive, but how to drive defensively. The course instructs students on adjusting to driving circumstances and anticipating other driver’s actions. Students learn techniques such as covering brakes, correct following distances, delayed acceleration, safe passing, proper scanning techniques, and many more.

This 4-hour course will refresh participants skills on how to recognize a life-threatening emergency and how to provide basic life support, as well as how to recognize the signs and symptoms of injuries and sudden illness, including airway obstruction, shock, burns, strains, strokes and seizures. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive nationally recognized First Aid and CPR course completion cards. Attendees must have completed the First/Aid CPR course within 3 years.

This 1-day Traffic Control & Flagging program incorporates the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices  (CA MUTCD) 2014 and covers warning sign placement, proper fundamentals of flagging, moving traffic, and signaling directions used by flaggers. Upon completion of this course, trainees will receive a card stating that they have satisfactorily completed training on the CA MUTCD and meet the requirements of CSO 1599.

This 1-day course covers federal & state fall protection requirements. Not only do you explore active, passive & alternate fall protection systems in detail, you also get hands-on training with fall protection equipment. Topics covered include: fall protection fundamentals, anchorage requirements, system inspections, proper care & use of equipment, fall hazard recognition, fall protection plans, lifelines, and basic rescue considerations.

All participants must bring lanyard and harness.

This 1-day course covers Cal/OSHA statistics, excavation standards, use of protective systems, soil analysis, timber and aluminum hydraulic shoring, tabulated data engineering, and competent person requirements. Students are to bring all company required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)-hardhat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, etc. to class.
