Workers’ Comp

Workplace injuries are something every business has to deal with. Safety professionals are there to help protect both the safety of workers and the financial safety of the business. The best way to do that is to both understand the rules and regulations as well as the options for treatments. How long does a worker need to be out? How do we get the worker the most effective and efficient treatment? How can we be sure the injury is actually work related? Join us Thursday, September 7, where we will be covering Workers’ Comp and how to handle efficient treatment and determining causation of occupational injuries and Illnesses.

Speaker:

Dr. Ed O’Hara,

U.S. HealthWorks

Dr. O’Hara is a blend of one part “techy”, one part Researcher, two parts Entrepreneur, and 100% a physician. His history is forged with an upbringing in the heart of Silicon Valley – the start of his IT roots – along with his passion for the biological sciences in which he developed cutting edge targeted biological therapeutics. Dr. O’Hara completed medical school and a surgical internship at Indiana University School of Medicine, while completing his MBA at the Kelley School of Business.  He utilizes a unique blend of skills as the Regional Medical Director at US Healthworks – the second largest occupational medicine group in the country, where he oversees Northern California and Colorado.  While he may be as comfortable in the research lab as he is in a server room, or with a patient; his greatest personal triumph is his love for his wife and two young sons.
