Inspecting the Workplace

This course provides the essentials needed for participants to create an effective safety inspection program for their organizations and to have a greater understanding of what to look for during their inspections. Through exercises and group discussions, participants gain a greater understanding of the components of an effective safety inspection.

Course curriculum includes:

•  Three major identification steps and clues to recognizing potential accidents
• Risk assessment and priority setting
• Frequently cited violations, standards and asking the question “why”
• A format and a process for conducting safety inspections
• Acceptable/Unacceptable Risk
• Priorities for Corrective Action

Who should attend:
Collateral duty, part-time, or full-time safety people, safety committee members, safety coordinators, safety specialists, safety managers, loss control managers, and operations managers, human resources, safety consultants, or anyone whose job includes the responsibility for workplace safety and health, or anyone who is responsible for developing and implementing an effective safety program.
