Topic: Engaging Employees in Safety Programs

Safety incentive programs have long been used by organizations to promote safe working conditions and encourage safety at the workplace. Incentive programs that focus on injury and illness numbers can have the effect of discouraging workers from reporting an injury or illness and be in violation of section 11(c) of the OSHA Act.

At the October Forum Michele Grubbs, Assoc. Safety Engineer with Cal/OSHA Consultation, will share best practices from the field that engage employees at all levels of an organization to actively take part in positive incentive programs that encourage reporting of injuries, illnesses, near-misses, or hazards.

On-line registration for this event is closed, however tickets are still available at the door. $10 cash, check or credit card.
