We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

  • October Sac Regional Safety Forum
     October 2, 2014
     8:30 AM - 10:30 AM

A quick and competent first aid response can reduce the severity of the injury or illness, can be the difference between a rapid or prolonged recovery, and in severe circumstances could mean the difference between life and death. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration, OSHA, defines first aid as “emergency care provided for injury or sudden illness before professional emergency medical treatment becomes available” and OSHA standard 1910.151 (b) states an employer must have “adequate first aid supplies…readily available,”. Because no two workplaces are the same the details of a workplace medical and first aid program are dependent on the circumstances of each workplace and employer.

Are you and your employees ready to respond in an emergency? Would your company or organization like valuable resources on developing and implementing a Workplace First-Aid Program? Join us on October 2nd from 8:30am-10:30am for a discussion on first aid systems suitable for your workplace.

– At work, injuries and illnesses kill about 2.2 million people in the world each year.
– On average, 15 workers die each day in the U.S. from traumatic injuries.
– Every dollar invested in first aid training wellness programs can reduce health care costs by $3.84, and lower absenteeism costs by $5.82
