Firefighter Chili Cook-Off

  • Firefighter Chili Cook-Off - Sept 20

The 4th Annual Fire Fighter Chili Cook-off will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2014 and will heat up Safetyville USA from 12 PM – 4 PM. This year over 7 local fire departments will converge and compete for bragging rights to be the best chili in Sacramento.

While the main event of the day is the chili competition, there is also plenty of fun to be had. There will be interactive activities & demonstrations for the whole family, raffles, entertainment, and of course chili tasting.

Admission is $5 for adults and FREE for children 5 and under. Tickets can be purchased online, via phone at (916) 438-3351 and will also be available at the gate the day of the event.

The funds raised at this event will stay in Sacramento to benefit the Children’s Safety & Health Education Programs at Safetyville USA.

Maintaining flexibility is a key element to help prevent MSD Injuries. Creating, or restarting a SAFE (Stretching and Flexibility Exercise) program which will endure, is absolutely achievable. Participants will learn the importance of maintaining flexibility so that they may positively influence others to stretch. Attendees will learn why and how to stretch while practicing a perfect 5‐minute stretch routine. This course also covers how to implement and effectively lead a SAFE stretching program and daily routine.
